The Ada County Coroner ruled Richard Kirchner, Sr.'s cause of death as 'gunshot wound to the chest' with the manner of death 'pending'.

Boise Police detectives continue investigating a man's death on West Fernwood Drive and have located additional evidence.

Based on this new evidence, detectives are releasing Cambria Kirchner from the Ada County Jail without criminal charges.

The death investigation is ongoing. There is no evidence of any threat to the general public.

Boise Police arrested a woman on charges of second-degree murder on Saturday.

On July 22, just after noon, Boise Police received a report of a suicide in the 6700 block of West Fernwood Drive.

When officers arrived at the home, they found a deceased man with a gunshot wound. Officers conducted an initial investigation and found suspicious evidence, causing officers to believe the death was a homicide.

Boise Police Violent Crimes Unit conducted another investigation leading to the arrest of 51-year-old Cambria Kirchner on second-degree murder charges. Investigators say Kirchner and the victim knew each other.

The investigation is ongoing, and the victim's identity is being withheld until the next of kin are notified.
