CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) — Flooding from the Boise River has caused Whittenberger Park to close, the Idaho Press-Tribune reports.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Bureau of Reclamation plan to increase flows on the Boise River this week, according to the National Weather Serve Boise Office.
Regulated flows are expected to increase to 7000 cubic feet per second in Boise, which means low-lying areas in Star and Caldwell could flood.
Greenbelt sections in Caldwell near Whittenberger Park and the single-lane bridge off Old Highway 30 are flooding.
Signs indicating the park's closure do not specify when the park will reopen.
