Daisy’s Destruction is a child porn that depicts the torture and sexual molestation of children, mostly below 10 years old. It is so unimaginable and cruel that it was regarded as a myth for years. So, when investigators began to find evidence to nail paedophiles, they could not believe their eyes and ears. Even the hardened ones broke down in tears.

Daisy’s Destruction is not a myth. It is sad evidence that there is something wrong with the world we live in. In a world where human rights and freedom are social norms, paedophiles and other perverts have decided to the advantage too far. Children are often too trusting and vulnerable. Paedophiles know this and exploit their knowledge to their satisfaction.

This exploitation birthed Daisy’s Destruction, showing how depraved some so-called humans can be. This article will throw more light on child porn and how it came to exist.

What is Daisy's Destruction?

Daisy’s Destruction is a four-part child pornographic video featuring the torture and rape of three girls by Australian sex offender, Peter Scully, and two Filipina women. Scully operated a secret dark web child sexual abuse website known as “No limits fun” (“NLF”). Daisy’s Destruction is the most notorious child porn that was posted on the site which he sold on his site to clients from the United States of America, United Kingdom and Germany for up to $10,000.

In the same video,  an 18-month-old baby was being hung upside down, beaten and tortured in what is widely regarded by law enforcement as the most gruesome example to date of ‘hurtcore’ – a sub-genre of child porn where paedophiles get sexual satisfaction on seeing kids in pain.

Britannica defines child pornography in Criminal Law, as any visual depiction of a minor (a person who has not reached the age of consent) engaging in sexually explicit activity. The age of consent in Nigeria is 18 years.

In the Child Rights Act of 2003, section 31 states the following:

(1) No person shall have sexual intercourse with a child.
(2) A person who contravenes the provision of subsection (1) of this section commits an
offence of rape and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for life.
(3) Where a person is charged with an offence under this section it is immaterial that —
(a) The offender believed the person to be of or above the age of eighteen years; or
(b) The sexual intercourse was with the consent of the child.

Also,  the Cybercrime Prohibition and Prevention Act of 2015 prohibits creating, obtaining, sharing, and owning any child pornographic content. Offenders can be sentenced to up to 10 years imprisonment or handed a fine of at least N20 million or both, depending on the nature of the offence and the act carried out by the accused persons.

The US Federal Law prohibits the production, distribution, importation, reception or possession of any image of child pornography. A violator of the law faces severe fines and jail time, also depending on the level of the offence.

Unfortunately, none of these laws captures the true horror that is faced by countless children every year. Child porn is readily available through virtually every internet technology, including social networking websites, file-sharing sites, photo-sharing sites, gaming devices and even mobile apps. Daisy’s Destruction is a clear indication of how far offenders have come to sexually exploit vulnerable children.

The good news is several people have been caught and prosecuted for having the gruesome video in their possession. In 2016, 23-year-old Matthew Graham, who used the name “Lux” on his empire of secret ‘dark web’ child porn and child abuse sites, admitted to 13 charges.

Before his prosecution, Graham lived with his parents and sister in South Morang, where he ran a network of child pornography, child abuse and “hurtcore” websites which were only available on the dark web through the Tor browser. This browser renders users anonymous. He ran the sites between 2011 and 2014 and was eventually arrested in 2014 after a joint FBI/Victoria Police probe. He was sentenced to 15 years in jail for crimes the County Court Judge Michael Tinney, described as “pure evil”.

In another case, TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting star, Josh Duggar, was arrested on federal charges of receiving and possessing child pornography. Before his arrest, Daisy’s Destruction was often dismissed as a myth among the general public. According to U.S. prosecutors, the father of seven hid behind the anonymity afforded by the Dark Web and repeatedly searched for Daisy’s Destruction. Investigators did not find the video itself, but they were able to find two telltale ‘torrent files’ marked DD and DD1 on his computer.

When the FBI ran the file names were ran in a government database of known child pornography, their worst fears were confirmed. The video showed the torture of the 18-month-old baby in Daisy’s Destruction. Duggar was sentenced to 12 years and seven months in prison on May 25, 2022.

Who committed the Daisy’s Destruction crime?

Peter Scully

Peter Scully is the mastermind behind Daisy’s Destruction. Scully lived in the suburb of Narre Warren in Melbourne, Australia, with his wife and two children before he fled to Manila, Philippines, to avoid being charged with his involvement in a property scheme that cost investors over A$2.68 million.

Scully later admitted that he was sexually abused as a child by a priest in Victoria. While he was still in Melbourne, he operated an unlicensed online escort service which offered his Filipina girlfriend as a sex worker. When he moved to the Philippines, he operated a lucrative international child sexual abuse ring that offered pay-per-view video streams of children being sexually abused and tortured on the dark web. Victims were often children of impoverished parents who were promised work or education in exchange for giving away their children.

Scully also recruited his two Filipina girlfriends, Carme Ann Alvarez and Liezyl Margallo Castaña, and other female acquaintances, such as Maria Dorothea Chi y Chia, to lure vulnerable children. He would then film himself and some of his girlfriends torturing and raping these children most severely. Some of the victims are between the age range of 18 months old and 10 years old.

Daisy’s Destruction is Scully’s most popular “hurtcore”. The video’s popularity among the general public attracted the attention of law enforcement.  The Dutch National Child Exploitation Team was the first to open an investigation and an international manhunt for those responsible for the video’s production was launched. Scully was eventually arrested at Malaybalay City in the Philippines on February 20, 2015. He faced a total of 75 charges where he was alleged to have sexually molested 75 children.

On June 13, 2018, Scully and his girlfriend, Alvarez were sentenced to life in prison. The Australian sex offender was handed an additional 129 years in prison in November 2022.
