HADERA, Israel (CelebrityAccess) The ongoing calamity resulting Operation Protective Edge in the Gaza strip has led promoters to postpone the Boombox festival.
The one-day funk and hip-hop festival had been set to take place at Hadera River Park on August 14th, with a lineup headlined by Wyclef Jean alongside emi Kuti, the Bucovina Club Orksetar, J.Viewz and other local and international artists.
Promoters for the event have not revealed any specifics regarding a new date, save for that the festival will take place 'later in the summer.'
One artist on the lineup, Talib Kweli, had previously dropped off of the lineup in protest.
"As much as I want to play Israel, I have decided not to in solidarity with Palestinians who will not have access to my show…," the 38-year-old rapper from Brooklyn tweeted. – Staff Writers
