Jordin Sparks-Thomas was born on December 22, 1989, and raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey, she grew up in the suburbs. Her father was a former football player, Phillipi Sparks. Her younger brother, Phillippi “PJ” Sparks Jr, is also a football player at Arizona Christian University. She grew up in the Ridgewood, New Jersey suburbs, where her father was a defensive back for the New York Giants.
