Reality TV is often associated with being inauthentic. However, Flowers doesn't want to add to that. "I don't want to do this fake nice thing," she explains to ET. "If you don't like me, for whatever reason, then we can just do our own thing. And that was, I think, the point that they captured with me doing that awful, awkward, flip the bird — I don't think I've ever given anyone the middle finger, as you could probably tell in that scene — I was just frustrated because it was yet again another fake conversation that I didn't want to have."

When it comes to fitness, Flowers is all about structure. She explains that she needs this approach to Greenville Online News. "I appreciate a structured plan when it comes to working out. My schedule can be a little all over the place, so I find comfort in having consistency in fitness."

Flowers is all about looking before she leaps. She says on the We Should Talk podcast that this helps her when shooting Southern Charm. "I would say just giving yourself time to take a beat before," she says. "If you're in a heated conversation before reacting and really, really thinking about how something makes you feel rather than being impulsive and your reactions and to just stay consistent. That was something I really wanted to make sure I did. Going into it as, you know, as uncomfortable as it can be to say some things to someone, if I said that to another person, I wanted to be sure that I stayed consistent in what I was saying, no matter who I was talking to.

Get some sun. "The best-known benefit of sunlight is its ability to boost the body's vitamin D supply; most cases of vitamin D deficiency are due to lack of outdoor sun exposure. At least 1,000 different genes governing virtually every tissue in the body are now thought to be regulated by 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1,25[OH]D), the active form of the vitamin, including several involved in calcium metabolism and neuromuscular and immune system functioning," reports the NIH.

Flowers shared an image of her right next to a giant turtle."From a stroll through a city park to a day spent hiking in the wilderness, exposure to nature has been linked to a host of benefits, including improved attention, lower stress, better mood, reduced risk of psychiatric disorders and even upticks in empathy and cooperation," says the APA.
