NEW YORK (VIP NEWS) — Shalik Berry has joined Epic as VP of A&R according to Billboard.
In his new role, the Los Angeles-based Berry will focus on urban music and report to Epic chairman/CEO L.A. Reid.
Berry is coming off a two-year tenure as creative director at L.A. Reid Music Publishing. Prior to that, he spent four years at Island Def Jam as director of A&R. Berry got his start in the industry as the head of A&R at Roc-a-Fella Records in 2002.
During his career, Berry has worked with such artists as Jay Z, Kanye West, Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, Chrisette Michele and Babyface.
