Ronda Rousey left WWE a year ago after losing her last match against Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam. Since then, the former MMA fighter hasn’t held back from criticizing the Stamford-based company, especially Vince McMahon. She has openly spoken about the difficulties she faced in WWE, including fighting against McMahon and delivering good matches.
While speaking with Chris Van Vliet via The Insight, Ronda Rousey revealed why her most anticipated match with Becky Lynch never happened at WrestleMania. When asked about the reason, she placed all the blame on Vince McMahon. The former Women’s Champion blasted McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and Bruce Prichard.
Ronda said that she just wanted to go out there and have a great match with her friends. However, it was described as if they had to fight Vince McMahon for it. Speaking about the latter, he is currently dealing with his fair share of legal troubles. He is facing a lawsuit for sexual assault, but as of now, it has been put on hold, and McMahon won’t be tried in court at the moment, thanks to the Department of Justice.
Because Vince is an 80-year-old a*****. No, Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, Bruce Prichard, they can all suck a d**. I just wanted to have a great match. Sometimes I felt like instead of enabling us to have a great match, we were fighting against him in order to have a great match.Ronda Rousey via The Insight
Despite being labeled resentful by many due to her remarks against WWE, the 37-year-old remains firm in her dislike for the company. After leaving WWE, it’s clear that her wrestling days are in the past. Moreover, Ronda revealed that she is expecting a second baby and said she loves taking care of her kids.
Ronda Rousey talked about her relationship with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon
The WWE Universe knows how strained Ronda Rousey’s relationship with Vince has been over the years. However, the dynamics are completely different with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. She expressed how close she was to them and how much she loved them both in an interview.
In the conversation with Chris, The Baddest Woman on the Planet shared an anecdote about her time with Steph. She stated that when The Billion Dollar Princess learned about her having a baby, she gifted her a necklace and told Ronda to put pictures of her baby in it. The 37-year-old star admitted that she loved and missed her so much.
I was talking to her how excited I was about having a baby. We already had two miscarriages and she took the necklace off of her neck and it was locked with pictures of her girls in it and said like this has my babies in it and I want you to put your babies in it. I love her so much, I miss her actually.Ronda Rousey via The Insight
However, in the end, Rousey was happy about how they both left WWE to take care of their kids. Speaking about Triple H, she praised him and admitted that the Stamford-based company is in a much better place than it once was. The former Women’s Champion even wished she had wrestled in his era.
